By accessing or using StoryMe Worlds ("the Platform," "we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Platform.

2. Educational Platform

StoryMe Worlds is an educational platform designed for use by students in grades K-6. The Platform is intended for use in educational settings under the supervision of authorized teachers and school administrators.

3. Authorization and Access

Use of the Platform requires:

• School Authorization: Teachers must have authorization from their school or district to use the Platform with students
• Parental Consent: Schools must ensure appropriate parental notifications have been made per their school's policies and applicable laws (including COPPA and FERPA)
• Valid Access Code: Access to the Platform requires a valid school access code provided by an authorized administrator

By using the Platform, teachers confirm that they have obtained all necessary authorizations and that appropriate parental notifications have been made.

4. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

The Platform uses artificial intelligence (AI) to generate images and provide educational feedback. Users acknowledge that:

• AI-generated images are created based on student writing and may not always accurately represent the student's intent
• AI-generated content is provided for educational purposes only and should not be relied upon as factually accurate
• We are not responsible for the accuracy, appropriateness, or quality of AI-generated content
• Users should review and supervise AI-generated content before sharing with students

5. Acceptable Use

Users agree to use the Platform only for lawful educational purposes and agree not to:

• Submit inappropriate, offensive, harmful, or illegal content
• Attempt to circumvent security measures or access unauthorized areas
• Use the Platform to harass, bully, or harm others
• Share access codes or credentials with unauthorized users
• Use the Platform for commercial purposes or to generate revenue
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
• Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's operation

Violation of these acceptable use terms may result in immediate account termination.

6. Content Moderation

We reserve the right to review, moderate, and remove any content that violates these Terms or is deemed inappropriate for an educational setting. Content that is flagged for review may be temporarily restricted until reviewed by authorized personnel.

7. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that:

• Violate these Terms of Service
• Engage in inappropriate or harmful behavior
• Fail to maintain proper authorization from their school
• Misuse the Platform or its features

Schools and teachers may also request account termination at any time. Upon termination, we will delete associated data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual Property

The Platform, including its design, features, and content, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Users retain ownership of their original writing submissions but grant us a license to use, store, and display such content for educational purposes within the Platform.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StoryMe Worlds shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the Platform. We provide the Platform "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email or through the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
